From our fantastical Associate Photographer Joanne Vandal: Maggie and Colgan married on a gorgeous September day in CT. The setting was the beautiful 200 year old Burr Homestead, an estate tucked away in the heart of Fairfield’s historic district. Colgan is an officer in the United States Marine Corps, so it seemed perfect to celebrate their marriage at a place so rich in history. You see…its the very same place that has hosted George Washington, Samuel Adams, John Adams and was even the setting for the wedding of John Hancock and his wife, Dorothy Quincy.
The lush gardens provided the backdrop for their first look and ceremony and the home was perfect for their reception. Their first look was one of the sweetest. Colgan couldn’t wait to see his bride and never stopped smiling as her took in the sight of his wife to be. It was a day focused on celebration, love and family and a day that they had been looking forward to for some time. Congratulations guys!
This is Maggies and Colgan’s wedding day. Enjoy!
